Introduction

American Leather Inc., manufactures and markets upholstered furniture products. The company produces a large range of premium leather furniture such as sofas, sectionals, chairs, recliners, beds, and related accessories. American Leather serves customers throughout the United States. Based out of Dallas, Texas, the organization is housed in a state-of-the-art 350,000-square-foot factory.

Client Needs/ Challenges Faced

American Leather (AL) is a conglomerate comprising of multiple furniture manufacturers. Each of the organizations managed their operations using different tool chains across ERP, CRM, Finance, and HCM. Each organization was at a different level of digital transformation. Consolidation and reporting of data at the Holding Entity level required humungous manual effort by personnel across divisions and organizations. This reduced the overall operational efficiency and data availability was at predefined intervals. Additionally, every entity used a different set of metrics to monitor its performance. Data consolidation, reporting, and metric tracking were done using Spreadsheets and shared either via Email or Shared Drives.

The Solution

Impiger offered ImpowerBI, as an intelligent reporting solution, and Impiger RPA to interface with legacy systems for data extraction. Our team of experts worked closely with AL Finance/IT/Ops/HR Teams and understood how the data from different systems were collated and gauged the differences between the data from the sources. Impiger’s digital transformation team came up with a plan to alleviate these differences among the data sources. The collected data from these systems had to be converted into a common format and uploaded into Azure Storage for processing by the Data warehouse. ImpowerBI created a huge impact and helped in streamlining the operational visibility of the organization. It enhanced the decision-making process and brought out results that improved the efficiency of the company.
